involved with the construction industry throughout all stages of the project;
from pre-tender to post-completion, through to resolution of disputes

About Us:
CAB was founded by Dr. Sherif El-Haggan in 1992 based on long-standing experience in the fields of contract administration, claims consultancy and resolution of disputes. CAB provides a range of consulting services to clients involved with construction projects at all stages of the project. When it becomes necessary, CAB provides assistance in resolving construction disputes in the areas of claims analysis, arbitration/litigation support, ADR and expert testimony. Construction involves a substantial amount of risk & CAB provides the advice that the clients need in order to minimize their risks and maximize the profitability of their construction projects.
Dr. Sherif El-Haggan - Director and Partner
Dr. Sherif El-Haggan is, amongst other things, an international arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator. He has acted as such in numerous construction and commercial cases. He also lectures in the subjects of claims and disputes in the construction industry, arbitration and FIDIC Forms of Contract.
Dr. El-Haggan has over 30 years of experience in claims and disputes in the construction industry. Through his experience, he has worked in a vast variety of construction contracts focusing on the conflicts that arise from such contracts which often lead to claims and disputes between the parties to a contract.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Cairo University, followed by his PhD from Sheffield University, England. Dr. El-Haggan is also a fellow and approved tutor for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London (CIARB). He is also a CEDR approved mediator and Country Representative for Egypt in the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF)
Dr. El-Haggan is enrolled in Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), Qatar International Center for Arbitration and Conciliation, The Arab Chamber of Arbitration and Conciliation, Alexandria International Arbitration & ADR Center and the Egyptian Ministry of Justice panel of arbitrators.
Dr. El-Haggan was also an ex-member in the Standing Committee of the ICC International Center of Expertise – Paris, lecturer and instructor for FIDIC, AUC and CRCICA, President
